Renewal Process
From January to April 2024, ESIC led a comprehensive public engagement process, which brought together individuals with lived experience of poverty, community members, non-profit organizations, the business community, municipalities, provincial and federal governments, and stakeholders.
The public engagement process would not have been possible without the support and dedication of the 12 Community Inclusion Networks (CINs) and non-profit partners. Likewise, this would have been unachievable without the thousands of New Brunswickers who willingly shared their personal experiences.
Questions
The process revolved around three questions:
1.
In terms of economic and social inclusion, what are the challenges for people living in New Brunswick?
3.
How could the following sectors further help reduce poverty and increase social and economic inclusion?
a) People living in New Brunswick
b) Non-profit organizations
c) Businesses
d) Municipal governments
e) Provincial governments
2.
What would have the greatest impact on reducing poverty for people living in New Brunswick?
